Graduated from high-school (gymnasium) with mathematics and physics as major subjects.

September 1992

Began computer science and mathematics undergraduate studies at The University of Copenhagen.

July 2001

Thesis for degree of Cand. Scient. (M.Sc.) in Mathematics from University of Copenhagen submitted.

December 2001

Thesis defense. The title of the thesis is "Universal Source Coding". Advisor Flemming Topsøe; co-advisor Boris Ya. Ryabko. Special interests: Connections between Hausdorff dimension and coding. Lempel-Ziv and related algorithms. Grammar based coding algorithms. The thesis is available for download here.

Employment record

January 1996 to September 1996

Part time job (20h/week) at DDE (now eHuset) as programmer. Primary task: Maintenance of Oracle/Forms applications. Platforms and tools: UNIX; Oracle, PL/SQL, Forms, C.

February 1998 to December 2000

Working part time as programmer at Tiscali Denmark (was: World Online (was: Image Scandinavia)). Primary task: Development of billing software and other kinds of ISP'ish software. Platforms and tools: UNIX (Solaris/Linux); Perl, PHP, MySQL.

January 2001 to July 2001

Full time position as programmer at Tiscali Denmark.

August 2001 to present

Position as programmer at Io Interactive, writing AI for the (awesome, if I may say so) game Freedom Fighters. Since September 2003, I have been lead programmer at Io Interactive.

Other

1996 to 1999

Active member of the Net Committee (Netudvalg) of the student house Rigshospitalets Kollegium. Work included organizing the cabling of all 420 appartments, connecting the local net to the internet and running the day-to-day system administration of the servers.

Recreational

In the summer I like to go sailing in Øresund. I also enjoy playing piano and writing software just for fun (no deadlines!)
